Grateful Dead

Of course this is one of the "horns" shows. A rowdy group from Bon Air Virginia were yellin at the horn players to get off the stage...and Phil stepped up to the mike and said, no, no they belong up here.

One of the best shows I ever saw. Phil comes out and says, after he's bombed the entire arena in Dark STar and Morning Dew, "instead of an encore we will rent the hall and play tomorrow for what it costs us" and he waves at all the people sitting in the front and says, "and we'll take all these chairs out and have a dance concert". And sure enough they did and we did. I think it cost three bucks to get in the next night.
