My 2nd show, Country Joe had top billing, Dead went on 2nd, couldn't play as long as usual at this time, so show was tight and to the point, I think it was "around and around", the lyrics said it all "Started moving my feet and clapping my hands, rose outta my seat, just had to dance". Poor Country Joe, they just couldn't equal that set, despite the higher volume, we sent them good vibes, but didn't have the same enthusiasm, I think they reversed the order the next night. I'm sure it was the late show, there were 2 shows a night, always went to the late one.
michael mitchell What i can remember my 3 buds and myself drove from Waltham Mass to NYC. It was my buddies old 1966 white rambler.Man those where the days.Never forget Jerry sure looked happy that night.

Comments The tape cuts in near the beginning of Dark Star and cuts off during Death Don't. DeadBase IX lists Early and Late shows and gives this list for the first show (noting uncertainty) and lists only Turn On Your Love Light for the Late Show.
