...suddenly appeared outside the Gymnasium was stellar. I know that the set list dosn't look all that awe-insipiring, but the intimate atmosphere and performances where key. I would love to have a recording of this show. The "Blues For Allah..." jams at the end of the second set were some of the best Phil/Jerry game of musical twister I ever heard them play!
This was my first show !
The best Supplication I have heard and a magical Slipknot. Did not realize on that day the magical bus ride I would have for the next 19 years and 103 magical shows!
This was my first show also. Memories: some buddies coming down from Virginia Tech. I had bought their tickets, and they had no cash to pay me back. The guys traded two ounces for two tickets. yes; two ounces for two, what, $9(?) tickets?
Good trade!
We came down in a car from Philly and didn't get off the bus for 3 days. The show was wild - an intimate setting and the trippy vibe in that small arena was almost overwhelming. Deal - Cassidy- Sugaree & then all of the Blues for Allah finish - what a WILD ride!!
I remember waking up the day of the show and all the tie-dye in the middle of Colonial Williamsburg was just surreal!
this was my first show backstge pass and all what a show my girlfriend and i went to the local laundrymat and there was this very rough looking guy who turned out to be ramrod.asked if we have ever heard of the grateful dead. i said i had a few albums europe72, working man's dead and american beauty he then asked if we had ever seen them we said we didn,t have the monry to go so he gave us 2 backstage passes383 shows latter and i still love the grateful dead been to the vibes the last 4 years but will not go back after last year to many police and fences now i know how a dog feels
I drove up from Norfolk Va where I was stationed (U.S. Navy) onboard USS Shreveport (LPD-12) for this show. Great experience!!! I had first seen Jerry & Bob summer of 1972 when they sat in with ABB @ Gaelic Park, The Bronx for Mountain Jam encore.

Location
This was my very first show. At the time I was unable to fully appreciate this really great show. I wanted to hear the stuff I was familiar with from lps. This was a great first show.
Everything I've learned is from The Grateful Dead and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
