MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
What A Show!! 1/2 Step, Mexicalli, High Time, Big River, Maggies Farm etc....
All I really remember about this show is that during It’s all over now the music triggered a powerful past life regression in me that transcended time and space. 100% drug free. Magic! Oh I do remember Bob plugging Farm Aid, which to me sounded horribly commercial at the time. The Black Muddy River was touching.
We had a sky-box that nite. Maybe up above nose bleeds, but a stocked bar was nice!
A good one. Highlights for me at the time were Mississippi Half-Step, It's All Over Now, High Time, Box of Rain, Uncle John's, Playin', Need a Miracle, Maggie's Farm and Lovelight.

-enjoyin' the ride
-There'll never be another Jerry
I remeber a running joke on this tour about that close being either tons of steel or "blck cruddy encore" alot....I like both songs, but there were times that they got old.
My fathers 70th birthday party was on this night in Menlo Park, California. So, I hopped on the earliest flight in the morning went to his party and took the Red Eye back for the 20th...
Oh, what a good son am I...
Thank you, and Stay In Touch!
Great Box of Rain that night. I remember being stage left and thinking how weird it was to see TV cameras on stage with The Dead.
Only Maggie's Farm was broadcast to Farm Aid, not the whole show. The setlist above is vague.
I went to 3 of these five show; I liked this one the most. Nothing like the Dead in NYC. The Band Beyond Description in the City that Never Sleeps.

I was at this show and thought it excellent. My friend was standing right next to me the whole time and thought it was lousy.
Go figure.
The Maggie's Farm is fantastic but Jerry pulls an all-time bad move when Bob starts The Other One and Jerry overrules him with Black Peter.
