I had been waiting for this moment for many years, I was not disappointed. I was in the second row, left side, Jerry's side. I saw him walk around the speakers just before eyes and big steve gave Jerry a huge hit off of a pipe, then Jerry walked back around and lit into it. Great Shakedown with the mirror ball lights.

fostever This was my first show. I traveled from Loudonville, Ohio with my neighbor to Warren Ohio to visit his brother Angelo who was living there with his uncle. From there I traveled by Greyhound bus to Cleveland where my friend from college, Chico, picked me up and let me stay at his parents' house in Shaker Heights. The show was incredible and electrifying. I was hooked. My seat was occupied by rough looking Hell's Angel types. I ended up yielding my seat to them and sat in the aisle. They paid me back by passing fatties to us all night. We were in the balcony on the left side of the stage. It seemed like Shakedown Street went on forever.
This was far and away the worst show of the many that I attended. The crew never did get the sound system right and the band was off-kilter all night. If you think that this was a good show you've obviously missed the bus.
I was attending the University of Akron at the time, and was dying to see the boys live, especially after getting turned on to Europe 72. I had a great time, despite the gripes about this being a lackluster show. I had nothing to compare it to, so it was all good for me! The only lame thing was when I was hitting off a bowl filled with expensive black hash and someone grabbed it from me. I turned around to see a badge and the cop threatened me with jail if he caught me getting high again. I spent the rest of the show missing that bowl of hash.
