I remember standing in the rain up by the stage before the show, and they BLASTED Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety over the PA. When was the last time you stood out in the rain with 30,000 happy hippies and listened to Pink Floyd?
We drove down after the Saratoga show...it was my birthday!!
Great show...great opener...rough wet, rockin... Jerry with a blue blazer (I think)...red shirt...Tom Thumb was hot and Deal rocked....will never forget the scene.... could have done without the Day Job but I am never happy with that tune.
I agree Tapes are great from this show.
hershey park happy
Having been blown away in Saratoga....I hitched solo down from Ithaca (not knowing where I'm bound) and began my journey of following the Boys seriously for the next ten years....
I remember bumperstickers ... Trouble Ahead ... Jerry In Red.
RODGER ALLINSONthis was one of my all time favorite first set closer the way bird song just kind of melted intocomes a time was great i think ill have to go listen to the entire show when i log off "had one of those flashes i'd been there before " moments that a great tape collection allows for
my fist road trip, saratoga to hershey ,lotta fun
What a show!! It was pouring out!! Got like 10 feet from the stage. Garica was wareing blue blazer jacket. Weir tryed to talk before the 2 nd set but Healy echoed the hell out of it and all I got was "as we resume our singing in the rain" One of the best Dew's I ever heard!! A++++ Show
We camped out at Hearshy campground. Cool amusement park also. There was that big swing that had a bunch of deadheads on it while they played the Go to Heaven.
I got a bumber sticker that "meltdown in chocolate town"
I still have it.

Location
.....as we're....singin' in the rain. This tape had the best tape responce. I remember that there was a building to the side there and when you positioned yourself just so you could catch the echo bouncing back from the mains and it created the trippiest convergence of sound and time I ever experianced. The rain didn't bother us in the least.
