After an amazing first show, we had an afternoon to check out the festivities and what an adventure that was. My first real vending scene experience and finally understood the magic of being there.
For this show my friends and I spent much of the show wandering the hill and around the time of Minglewood Blues I lost my friends in the crowd. A short time later I ran into some other friends of mine who gave me a (####) and my adventures became quite interesting. I ended up hanging out with them the rest of the show. Once again, every note played was spot on perfect and the fairly decent AUD tapes I aquired from this night proved that. Oh yeah, just remembered the between set music was "Joes Garage" by Frank Zappa.
If David Lemieux reads this, please release these shows, even if the vault tapes are'nt perfect. Or if a fan out there has a nice crispy uncirculated AUD or SBD, please send me a message.
I dont care how deep or wide....
I just went for something to do. I only had a ticket, 5 dollars and half a bag of cheese popcorn. It is just a concert right? Over in a couple hours then go home. I never went home. Cheese popcorn became my new best friend. And "no, sir, I cannot move the fire" lol. Great show that day/night (miss the 4pm starts by the way) and me and my buddy stayed overnight. It started as just a concert and mushroomed into a life changing event.
Phil hit an open string and I almost fell over and I was hooked. The people were so nice and beautiful.
my first show was u.i.c. in april i told my freinds was a great little show it was intamate and coozy we never having been to alpine we were shocked to see dead as far as the eyes could see.WOW soooo many smiling faces.got to hear some of the same songs that changed my life back in april like Terrapin , Warf rat and Truckin but in a new outdoor atmosphere were the music seemed to touch the clear blue sky, remember?this was my second show and four of my freinds first. they went solely on my reconmendation.the band did not disapoint.had a hallucination of a giant drop of blood/liquid acid form on the wood ceiling of the pavillion and splash down on us all during THE OTHER ONE did anyone else see it? thanks Brent
They did a playin' reprise somewhere in the second set. We stopped The Camper Van at a sign that read: Bong Recreation Area got out and took a group photo all holding our bongs.
