i remember a strong terrapin. Left the show to discover our
packs had been stolen. Walked all night back to Denver to catch Greyhound for Connecticut.
Right, they played 3 nights. Some rain, cops told us they would hand out soap. lol.
Yah, It was July 27, 28, 29
Morning in Denver. Ate at White Spot-fair enough. Thumbs out
for two or three hours. Rode back of big white ford pickup. Raining early on. Walked and walked. Zillions of grasshoppers. Made our way up the canyon to a small town. Then another mile or two on foot. Near stepped on a sunning rattle snake. Built good fire then time for the show:)

Was my first show at the rocks . I was lucky enough to be there for each and everyone the dead played there from this point on. Is kinda of nice to say I saw them 15 times here at the rocks.
We skipped the Tempe show and went to chief hosa camp ground day after the Ventura show. Weather all week was so nice and hot till the shows came around then things changed as we all know. Still had alot of fun soaking wet the 1st night and enjoyed the heck out of it. From that point on there was no getting dry.
each year I stopped over at the campground some of the best partys after the shows.
