Didn't I see Jerry on pedal steel during Tommorow is Such a Long Time. That is noteworthy
Alone and Together, Bob Dylan & Grateful Dead. Thats whats on my ticket stub. It was a Sunday, the concert started at 6:00 pm. I sat all the way up high on the bleacher's . There was lighting and Thunder during the concert too. Don't recall much else, "Must have been a good concert."
Bob was in top form driving The Dead to the peak!!
I went with Pat Malone and smoked massive amounts of "shish" in the lot, met up with four other friends and ate "shrooms" just before going in.
Dancin' while trippin' in the "nose-bleed" seats was a totally new and somewhat harrowing experience!!!

Cool show. Jerry on pedal steel was quite cool. He also ripped the hell out of All Along The Watchtower, which the band later would adopt w/ Weir, as we know.
Bertha ROCKED!!! I mean REALLY ROCKED!!
It so cool seeing 70,000+ heads bopping to bertha.. It was so cool!!!
Also a false start on one of Dylan's tunes..........The band was playing one thing and Weir was singing another thing....so they stopped and regrouped.
Dylan played on touch and heavens door............Which was really good also.
Touch of Gray album was JUST released, I rember hearing called "The Brent Album"
The Rain and thunder was the following year.

i'm sorry but this show was too big...too many people! guess my therapist was correct..that i'm selfish
it was a great time but i remember it being a million degrees. i got on the floor and worked up to the first few rows on jerry's side. i remember they sprayed hoses on us during the show at some point. it was a boiling hot day and a good sweaty time had by all.
this (87) was the year of the torrential rain and lightning with a tornado siting in fort lee that i learned of the next day in the paper wnasn't it? it was 86 when it was blazing hot. oh man, its over twenty years ago. the rain storm that i really think is 87 was nuts. they kept playing and it was raining so hard that the music was muffled. then they broke and announced that we on the floor whould all move toward the wall. you know that big blue wall at giants stadium, i knew a girl who jumped it, lots of us did that, and broke her ankle. that was some major lightning though.

i attended this show as my first.i was 17 and what a hoot!i went with my BF at the time jimmy kahl a.k.a. space.if your on this site you know what happened.i am 38 now.if any of my old chums read this please contact me.and,why is there no mention of bob dylan.this was the dylan and the dead tour wasnt it?but i accept i could be wrong as i dont remeber alot of things from when i was 17,or 18,or 19 ,and so on.any one know where i can get a copy?
