Hey neddles, sorry to say, but the cut is what we get. I had recorded this one from the Deadhour years ago. David Gans comments at the end about the taping situation. All they have is Alligator coming in after the start then the mindblowing jam through the setlist with Dark Star cut right at the first chorus- sooo ouch! I love this piece of music. It got away from me (if you know what I mean- somebody's Crazy Fingers :D) a couple of years ago. I'd love to get it back. David Gans makes a classic comment at the end of the tape, "This is a slightly overrecorded piece of music, but perfection is not always possible with the Grateful Dead." And, yes, I believe this set is perfect in every sense. I wish I heard it live- not memorex.

I see from the bonus material on the new 2-14-68 release that Viola Lee Blues and Good Morning Little Schoolgirl were played at this show. Does anyone know the song order?
At a guess I'd say something like:
Viola Lee, Schoolgirl, [missing tracks, possibly a TIFTOO]> Clementine> New Potato Caboose> Born Cross-Eyed> Spanish Jam> Caution Jam> Dark Star
Of course, the Dark Star could have gone into a China Cat> Eleven> Lovelight sequence as well. It's such a hot show - the Viola Lee and Schoolgirl just make it better.
