Yea I think he played on Wang Dang Doodle and West LA Fade Away.
Sugar Mag started at about 12:08
Wasn't this the show where the Gyoto Monks played horns during intermission? OMG! That was special!

My one and only New Years show. How sweet it was,and quite an adventure getting there and back from L.A. And to think there's DH's who've never seen the Dead let alone a New Years show. I 'll consider myself blessed! I remember the audience howling during Watchtower.
If i recall there was a light dusting of snow. i was scating across the parking lot singing GDTRFB.....
yes there was snow, and warm apple cider as well ..
I was with a large group of bay area friends about 30 fThis was the last of four New Years I was lucky to have attendedeet from the stage. I brought sourdough breads from Marin and aged cheddar. Others brought organic farm fresh vegies and wine. We had a picnic there on the Oakland floor. A good friend arrived with a big bag of Northern Californias best and the night was just beginning. It was heaven from let the good times roll to the 2nd set clasic start of sugar mags and a new years Dew!
It was the best of times.
Got ticket at box office[at 8;35 pm'] ,lady working there said 'got one if you want it' YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH. Walked in floating as TOM TOM was doing Psyco Killer.
Saw Bill G and Bill Walton in parking lot. Great time.
