Sixth Show/Third Run

Heard about this show through the grapevine and was lead to believe that the sound was just as good outside the show as inside.
So I gathered up three of my non-Deadhead friends and off we went to Stanford to check out the sound.
Stopped at a local Palo Alto liquor store to stock up on beverages and proceeded to the show.
By the time we arrived the boys had already begun jammin'.
I figure they had played six or seven tunes as we heard the strains of Tennessee Jed (turned out to be the seventh tune).
We walked around the venue to see if there might be a place to jump the fence (dum-dums), but realized the place was well fenced and gave up the idea, besides the sound was pretty good outside.
We ended up between the stage gate and the front gate where we meet a dude that said he was goin' over the fence and would we throw his boom-box over after he got inside.
We said we would and waited for this idiot to try what we knew was a lost cause, he came back after ten minutes and retrieved his player.
We walked toward the front gate to find some shady tree to camp out under for the rest of the Second set, as the boys were well into the Eyes at this point.
As we approached the front gate area two of my pals were distracted by a vendor, and me and the other friend went on ahead, where we were acosted by this big burly dude who said "Hey want to go inside ?" We Said "YEAH !" He said "Okay here are two tickets. Now go inside. You can not sell these tickets" I asked if he had any more but he said no.
So we went in for free to see the space->other>peter e:Lovin'.
I told my friends I was comin' back tomorrow.

A new adventure

On August 4th I married my touring partner (partly) to please her folks. They sent us the money for a 1957 Chevrolet bus that had been converted into a motorhome and as the saying goes, "Might as well travel the elegant way..." I became a bus driver for the summer.

This Frost was the first show with our bus.
