About Me

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and started taking drum lessons from Lenny and Mickey Hart when they had a small music shop in San Carlos around 1967 - 1968. I still remember that they had a snare drum there that had been signed by Ringo! It was a great time to be growing up in the Bay Area as the music scene was everywhere! I now live in a small mountain town in the Appalachians close to the Georgia/North Carolina border with my wife and have added clawhammer banjo to my musical interests. I get back to California about once a year to visit family or to make music with my two oldest friends in Berkeley.
