Summer of Love by John Fogerty from his upcoming CD. Hendrix/Cream style song. Listened to it on Rolling Stone website. I love his music. Rock on.
Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

"From day to day, just lettin' it ride,
You get so far away from how it feels inside,
You can't let go, 'cause you're afraid to fall,
But the day may come when you can't feel at all."
On random play on my itunes. Across The River. With Jerry on guitar.

I figured I'd grab something for the car that I hadn't heard in a while. Not sure of the date, but it starts out Jack Straw, Candyman, Wang Dang Doodle ... I'm going to keep listening, but I'm not that impressed so far. I do remember enjoying the summer 1991 shows I attended.
Someone earlier mentioned the 1982 Cold Rain and Samson in the Tapers Section - check it out if you haven't already.
If you're looking for something new to listen to, go to musesmuse.com, click on "music reviews" at top of page, and scroll down to my reviews (Chip Withrow). I only write reviews of cds I like (about 2-3 for every 15-20 I receive). The latest is a band from Baltimore called Histrioniks, who remind me of the great LA band X from the '80s. As far as jam-type bands, you might enjoy Flame Shark, Chemystry Set, or Tim Hirons. These folks are all indies and worthy of your support.

curses! the cubbies just lost the lead! the big z is getting frustrated... but perhaps if he had the opportuity today to listen to the cold rain and snow- samson and delilah combo from this week's taper's section, he would not be so upset... but then again, if he could control his fastball, that might help too...

Listening to 'So Many Roads' and just finished listening to that awesome pre-Crazy Fingers 'Distorto' from 75', Unbelievable. And the 'Blues From Allah' from the same tapers section reaches places unimaginable.
