I'm new to the posting, but with the spring tour, just think 37 years. I've been listening, going to shows, wearing tie dye and J Garcia ties now a days. I'm thinking about how cool the variations and jamming and improvisation based on those old songs will sound again. I intend to remember it this time and am psyched about hitting 3 shows with my 21 year old daughter. We all did the Further festival, Other Ones etc after Jerry died, but this will be her first official DEAD show, not counting Ratdog and Phil and Friends. Never really got into the tribute bands, even when they were nearby. By the end of the tour, the boys ought to be pretty synched in I would hope.
Just wanna say HEY NOW! Cant wait to see everybody at the show(can only afford one, unfortunatly)But you know what they say-"ONE is better than NONE". Plus it's my wife's first REAL show-took her to RD and DSO(Both at Lowell Memorial Aud.)she liked it-but this should blow her mind!Worc.Sat night!! anyhoo-GARCIALATER-G
come back soon!
Just passing through
we have topics that are sorta like that but not exactly. I'll see what I can do.
Hello,
I'm new here, but go back to the old Kumquat Mae (s.a.) days.
Is there an index of 'Fantasy Best Grateful Dead Concerts' anywhere?
I mean, has anyone put their sequences of what they think the GD's 'best' versions of individual songs, from various shows, together to form complete 3-set shows with encores?
It's a huge undertaking, but I'd love to be able to d/l some of the shows compiled by those really 'in the know'.
Congrats to all for 'Rocking The Cradle' btw.
I'd have been at the Rainbow.....if.....
Love,

Hi Everyone...
Had decades of Deja-vu in the Spectrum lot a couple of weeks ago. See what you caused Garcia !!! So many intelligent/insightful people on these threads...nice.
Saw Donna and Jeff Matson at the ballpark (Thanks Denny)..WOW...It's was like a JGB show circa 1978...How sweet it is...
The music still sounds great...and I'll never be able to listen to my whole collection.
Keep on Truckin' people...It's in our GDNA...
