"What do you want to do...to see this through"
I believe Billy and Mickey aren't part of the Further shows because their whole careers the Grateful Dead have been telling musicians to do their own thing and not copy them. Now Bobby and Phil have chosen a complete Jerry clone to be their man. I applaud Billy and Mickey. This might be nice for the younger ones who never got the chance to see Jerry but I couldn't see myself there.
I love analog and synths.
Please view. Funny instrument. Great fun to play.

quick response to Cc, I always try to do my chewing during the instrumental jams.. right now Im having some turkey chili while listening to dark Star 3/17/93.. lots of time to savor my home made chili while waiting for the second verse,, years of practice.. meanwhile on the marketing side of things does any one have a scoop/ opinion on why Mickey and Bill are not part of this furthur run of shows.. Im looking forward to the ny area gigs,, but I have not seen/ heard any reports from the Mickey camp or Billys base ... food for thought indeed while I finish this chile ohh ohh here comes the mirror crashes part...
well well well, if we's talking about the Mission in the Rain from 6/12/76, I'll rate that above food -- well, least till I get hungry again. ( -;
but hey, when faced with two choices, always take BOTH!
talented fellow that I am, I can eat and listen to the show at the same time, that is, unless I try to sing along, or try to chew in time with the music, that generally gets a bit sloppy... and makes my dentures click, too....
peace.
This kind of marketing is being talked about these days. I don't have a problem with any website pushing it's wares. The line gets crossed when you think somebody is giving an honest, valid opinion and that turns out not to be the case. Whether they get paid for it doesn't really matter.
It's true that on this site you mostly have people with lots of complaints about ticket prices or merch. problems rather than praising something as better than sliced bread. Still, when I hear somebody say "You have to get this new release because it has a killer Mission In The Rain on it. Mission is like one of my top three favorite things in life next to eating food and having sex."
I think that this kind of marketing is likely being being done on this site but gently. I guess that's best next to not at all.
