The Vindex
Cosmicbadger maintains a comprehensive list of what's currently being vined here.
Originally he kept and updated the list here, but it has proved less cumbersome to maintain it as a spreadsheet in Google Docs where it can be kept current easily.
As Badger says, it includes a whole lot more useful info too, including a list of all the shows the GD ever played and dates of all official releases.
Have signed up for quite a few already, because you know, they will all show up the same day, murphy's law! Everyone here has been fabulous helping me get started with info and advice. Had to laugh, the only vine I've received so far
(1978 Patchowork Quilt) isn't on the list, lol.
Is there an easier way to find a vine than just scrolling through the posts?
Island Girl. Hope you find some good vines to join. The vineyard is one of the nicest places on the web.

it's fallen prey to some weird technical issues. Strangely enough I can see it just fine with the host tools but my best attempts to render it visible have failed. I'm going to try something else. Stay tuned.

Now the Vindex is getting so huge and seems to have been eliminated from this site, I am planning a new way of sharing it, which is intended to be easier for me, easier for folks to scan and analyse and that will not clog up the site. I am posting a link to a place where you can read a simple spreadsheet online with the VIndex on it. It includes a whole lot more useful info too, including a list of all the shows the GD ever played and dates of all official releases. The link is here. Please tell me if it works OK

Location
look for the search box and click on 'Advanced Search'
Type the name of the vine you seek in the box that says search for a phrase
Highglight the Vineyard from the list of places to search
that should get you to the vine you seek.
Then check to see how recently it has been active and take a chance.
If a vine seems dead you can ask for a reseed in the reseed request forum..someone may be able to help
