Red Rocks!

When Bob was last here with Ratdog to play the Fillmore, they were on positive fire. Set in the Native American power spot of the Rocks, the Dog will transcend three dimensions.

We'll be there.

Can't wait to see Bobby again...

I've seen Ace and the Dawg 4 times now and I can't wait to see them again this Summer! They will be in my home town (Columbus, OH.) in mid July and I am looking soooo forward to it. If you're going to catch this show but are not familer w/ the area, let me know what you could use help with (parking, food, local hangout) and I'll point you in the right direction.

Other then that, this is my first post on the new site. Love what they've done with it thus far and I look forward to seeing more.

((((vibes)))))

...he said, "There won't be any money, but on your death-bed you will receive total consciousness," so I got that going for me...which is nice.

60? Pah!

That seems old, but I don't know; he doesn't look like the 60-year olds i used to know.
It reminds me of a story I heard from Trey about Phil that went something like this: they were at Vegoose last year and the Phil/Trey set started at 12:00 or so. So they get up there and play for three hous and Trey's sweating, the band's pulling hard, everyone's working their butts off, geting tired, trying to keep it fresh and Trey looks over at Phil, and Phil's cool as a cucumber: grinning, hopping around, master of the beat and Trey says to himself: "What the hell? Oh right! He was in the Grateful Dead!"
Well if you think about it, these guys played three hour shows every night for THIRTY YEARS! That's some training, right there. And Bob's what, seven years younger that Phil? I like to think he'll be rocking another ten years.
If B.B. King can still play past 80 (granted he doesn't move a whole lot), well, Bob sure as hell can play past 60! It'd be kinda nice for Ratdog to stay together 20-25 years, no?

Bobby turning 60!

In case anyone missed the thread on Ratdog.org or the post on Deadnet central,
I'm compiling a gift for Bobby's 60th from my fellow Weirheads.
It won't cost ya anything but a few moments of your time.
I want ti to remain a surprise for as long as possible but will give out details to interested people-

The promoters definately

The promoters definately couldve done a better job. They were using posters from the year before without even updating the picture to include Robin Sylvester.
There was a pretty hardcore group of fans in the UK & Europe - they were desparate for Ratdog to return in 04. They even tried to organize themselves to get money together for another tour.

No chance of a visit over here then?

Dont suppose anyone out there has some access to young Bob but if there is could they ask if there is any chance of Ratdog playing London or even Amsterdam.?. .........may your dog be with you.........

Tony L, I asked McNally that question a couple of weeks ago in an online forum . . . he said something to the effect ~ that it would be unlikely unless the promotors could prove they'd do a better job this time . . . apparently there were a few unsold tickets . . . all I know is that if there were another Eupean tour I'd be buying tickets and making the trip . . .
