This will probably be the slowest week in the history of ever. I'm super stoked about this weekend. Looking forward to chillin' out Saturday- tossing back a few cold ones and grilling something over an open fire. Hope to see everyone there!!
On another note...
I don't want to get all preachy, but let's everyone remember to clean up after ourselves. Pack-it-in pack-it-out and all that jazz. Mr. Park Ranger shouldn't have to spend all week picking up our trash. He sounds real nice & hopefully keeps his word about making room for all. So, before you pull out of camp Monday morning (or whenever), take a walk around your site to make sure you're not leaving any trash behind, especially if it's been windy. Ok- I'll get off my soap box now. ;-)
***You know it's gonna get stranger, so let's get on with the show!***
What time will they be booting us from the wharf...er.....parking lot? Anyone got an eta from past shows? Have to work the next day...
Anybody know what time the lot opens or if they're gonna give me trouble about bringing my dog there during the day?
Open for riders anyone along route?
At the past Ratdog shows I have been there as early as 11:00 AM for an 8PM show so I don't see why it wouldn't be the same this time for the Dead. However, BEWARE! They DO NOT put out port-o-lets (at least they didn't in the past) so finding a bathroom is always a challenge. See ya there!
any news on how early the lot opens for pre-show festivity?
are there surrounding pay lots that might be open earlier?

I just talked to a gentleman at Hagan-Stone Park in Greensboro. He was very friendly and accommodating for all of us. When I said I was coming in for Easter weekend, he said, "coming for the big concert?" and he said he's been getting a lot of calls, so I expect a few of us there. When I asked if he had room, he said, "We'll make room, come on up!" So apparently the first-come, first-serve system shouldn't worry anyone.
Very friendly, very helpful. I might be getting in late Saturday night (driving from Atlanta, might get there around midnight or so) and he said, "just pitch your tent and we'll see you in the morning!" Can't wait!
Anyone else plan on staying there? If so, feel free to PM me and we can talk!
Peace.

Hi all! I agree wih Unkle Sam, not much camping in G'boro. There are a few campgrounds close to by. Posters are going up in town and the vibe is growing stronger! Gonna B a great show! I feel music in the air:)
Greensboro Campground is about 6 miles from the venue. Fields Campground is about 10 miles. The closest campground in the country is Humphreys Ridge in Stokesdale (about 25 miles from venuse) but not in route to next show. Hope this helps some folks! Safe travel!
