hotel recommendations?

I am coming down from Seattle with my girlfriend for the shows... any one know where we should get a good hotel in that part of Oakland? I know the last time I stayed in Oakland for shows was not exactly ideal... I mean I didn't mind the crack head hookers beating on the door at 4am asking for somebody that was not there but these days I am older and need my sleep... ;-)
