Cinco de Mayo in Chicago: the boys return to their old stomping grounds at the former Rosemont Horizon for two nights, May 4 and 5.
Still haven't received my Chicago tickets for 5/4 and I'm starting to freak out a bit. Just wondering, anybody else still waiting on mail order tickets for that show?
I've been there and it's a very nice store- I encourage everyone to stop in and grab a fresh tie-dye or some tasty tunes! They have lotsa cool stuff... and with a fat discount like that, I just might have to stop in later this week myself...

I have a hippie shop only 6 miles (15 min.) from the venue. If you are going to either Chicago show, stop in the store and show us your ticket. You'll save 20% off your store purchase. This applies to everything except sale items and is good from the weekend before the shows till the weekend after. Discount is good once per customer. We sell lots of great things both Dead and non Dead related. We are kinda like a hippie general store. (No pipes though).

chicago here we come! taking our 13yr old to first dead show. booked hotel when tour was announced. yeah, it was spendy, but it is now paid for!!!! you only live once in this life, right? very excited to finally see some good live music again. it's been awhile. no good music up here in n. michigan, at least that is my opinion. anyways gonna be a good time! can't wait!!!!!

anyone know what time the lot opens? we are only seeing the 5/5 show - cinco de mayo - maybe a tex-mex mix first set?!?! and then WEIRD for second set?!!!!!????? have hotel booked for both nites, maybe we'll get in for the 4th, who knows!!!!

When I went to Phish in 2003 at the Allstate Arena, I remember there being a decent amount of security and people trying to break up tailgators. I don't know if it will be the same way with the Dead crowd though... I hope not. Super excited though. Less that 2 weeks away.
My GF and I are staying at the Hilton O' Hare (not by choice). Any others ?

My friend called Allstate Arena and there is going to be camping on Monday and Tuesday nights $40.00 a night I think or that might be both nights? I would call them though....
