One of my favorite Jerry photos of all time is the one Jon Sievert took for the GP cover in 1978. By the time I met Jon many years later, apparently the negatives from the photo shoot (which GP owned) had vanished, or I would have bought a print in a heartbeat. My copy of the magazine is a bit faded and battered, but I'll see if I can scan it in. Great close-up of Wolf. Beautiful wood grain on that guitar.
In the pages of the latest (Nov.) Guitar Player which I just got in today's mail. Every month the best albums/CDs of a guitar master are featured in a section called Oeuvre Easy.
In this issue it is "Jerry Garcia Live", written and compiled by Henry Kaiser. There is a great 2/3 page photo of Jerry walking down Haight Street in 1968, guitar in hand and big smile. Henry Kaiser's focus in the piece are the live not studio recordings.
There has been more mention this year of Jerry and the Dead in the pages of GP than there has been for years.

i also enjoy that show, of course i was only born in '67, but recently found the reruns on ION weeknights at 10 and have been watching a lot. back in the '80's i was out doing my thing and never watched it much then, but glad to have a chance now. wow, never pegged him for one of us. goes to show ya never can tell

I enjoyed this show because he portrayed someone the same age I was in that period. A fictional tv contemporary. But in real life a Deadhead?....
