i'll back marye up on this,

it IS confusing...and sorry marye, for the mixup! i HAVE used johnman for quite some time without thinkin' about it (i was dubbed "johnman" by an old and dear friend in alameda, cuz i always answered the phone "it's john, man")

I suspect I am not alone in this...

I currently have in my Facebook friends request queue several requests from people I suspect are Dead.net folks (judging by who our mutual Facebook friends are) but I have NO IDEA who they are. Since a lot of folks don't use their real names here (which is fine...) I'm having major cognitive dissonance.

It was bad enough when I almost couldn't figure out who Johnman was.

I'm happy to friend folks from here (well, except the evil spammers, but we're all pretty much in agreement on that one...) but please, if you're from here and send me a friend request, let me know who you are hereabouts so I can connect the real-life name to the person I know!
