Wretches and Jabberers, directed by Academy Award® winner Gerardine Wurzburg, is a ground breaking documentary that follows two men with autism, Tracy Thresher and Larry Bissonnette, who embark on a global quest to change attitudes about disability and intelligence. The soundtrack, Featuring 20 original songs written and produced by J. Ralph in collaboration with Bob Weir, Antony, Devendra Banhart, Paul Brady, Bonnie Bramlett, Vashti Bunyan, Martin Carthy, Judy Collins, Lila Downs, Vincent Gallo, David Garza, Ben Harper, Scarlett Johansson, Nic Jones, Norah Jones, Leah Siegel, Carly Simon, Stephen Stills & Ben Taylor, honors those who spent a lifetime living in complete silence and isolation, never having a voice of their own. The film, the recording and Bobby's song, Breaking the Hold, are ALL amazing. I was sorry that Breaking the Hold didn't make the soundtrack to the movie. But I remain incredibly pleased and happy and proud to be a Deadhead all over again...blown away by Bob's gentle, kind and insightful contribution. Very few know about the film or Bob's song...please Deadheads have a listen and let's get Bob to break this one out at TRI sometime! peace love and music, Miles
