Excellent Show

The NYE show was sked for Kauai. The same band played here on Maui on New Year's Day and then headed to the Big Island for the day after New Years.

I was only able to make the show on this island and was thoroughly impressed with the music.

This was my first exposure to Chris Berry (Panjea). We now have another great talent living here in the islands! The elders in Zimbabwe also seem to have a great respect for him.

Bill added his own drive to the sound as you can hear if you download the torrent seeding at bt.etree.org.

The venue (Voyage East) is really an old Cannery Warehouse that has been outfitted with a small stage. Ceiling is about 40 feet high and there are couches, sofas and chairs scattered around the place. I'm guessing there were about 200 people or so at the show. Another nice, intimate gig.

Thank you Bill for being a part of these shows here on the outer islands.

The sleepy little island....

went to bed last night to the roosters crowing. Or so I heard. My daughter lives in Kapaa and thou she wasn't at this gig (working in Po'ipu), we did hear Bill play at Trees a few months ago. Any deadhead would feel right at home on Kauai. No building can be taller that a palm tree and as you are driving, if you pass people walking it is impolite if you do not wave to them. At most of the beaches, you just pull up under a palm tree, and if there is a parkinglot, it is unpaved. Quite a few cars are held together with bungie cords and duct tape. And haircuts, uncommon. I feel back in the day every time I go there.

Happy New Year Billy (and

Happy New Year Billy (and all). The hat you signed at Wanee made my Mother-in-law happy. She just died a couple of days ago so can now look down and watch your show. [Marye, can you draw Billy's attention to this? His taking time for me meant a lot to us.]

Keep on Truckin Bill

So glad that he is still going so strong with new explorations.

If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.
