July 29 - August 4

Every Friday we'll be sending you off with a Jam Of The Week, hand-picked and delivered by tape archivist David Lemieux. Listen to it on the weekend. Listen to it at work. Listen to it all day long...but make sure you tune in or you'll miss out because these little nuggets will stream for ONE WEEK ONLY!
It should be nice that JOTW should present some of the more out of the wall "free" (weeiirrdd) improvisations of the Band , one of the greatest improvisation collective team of the past century regardless of the styles ( jazz, rock, fusion, improv ethnic, etc..) ........
This TOO is great ........... some of the late 80's GD are worth listening............
I just want to say thanks, DL. I'm liking the space tones especially. Nice!
Since you choose to be the arbiter of what's okay, lamagonzo, I'll be quiet and leave "the rest of us" alone. Enjoy your judgements and self righteousness.
.....all the years combine.....
Yeah, this is an an e-commerce site, but I don't grudge people for trying to download some tasty nuggets. Will Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and the Garcia daughters have to live in smaller houses? I think not.
Take a valium and giver the rest of us a break.
Paisley, Grateful Jeff, ehecker123.
"I guess it doesn't matter............ anyway........."
If I came across too harshly for you. I'm a little tired of people trying to get something for nothing from the Grateful Dead through dead.net in terms of music they can record from the band's master tapes. Those recordings are for sale when the band decides to release them, period. The generousity of the band allows us to hear selected versions of those recordings weekly in this edited format. Don't fool yourself. If these recordings start to circulate, goodbye JOTW. I just want to encourage people to be satisfied with what they have in terms of access, which is really unprecedented, to the archives of this band and leave it at that. Enjoy the moment and move on. There's another Jam next week...that's the idea here!
.....all the years combine...
also try gratefuldead/live music archive;downloading and streaming. enjoy
Right on!
No need to jump someone's shit paisley. Jeez. Prolly an innocent question. Maybe new to the site or the JOTW section. Are you kind? Guess not.
If you get confused, listen to the music play!

Location
Los Lobos, El Rayo X and the Grateful Dead for 3 Days & Nights!
You just don't see promotors like Uncle BoBo anymore.
