Grateful Dead Hour no. 979
by David Gans
Week of June 25, 2007
A taste of a wonderful musical event that took place in New York City in January of 2007: The American Beauty Project, a free two-day festival produced by the producer of the New York Guitar Festival. Saturday was Workingman's Dead; Sunday was American Beauty, interpreted by various musicians.
I've got more from this show to share with you in the weeks to come.
Enjoy!

Hi David-
thanks for some vintage ABP =) Loved the project when they came to UMass '07 - the harmonies are divine and the songs are played in the right spirit. Thanks for the link - I did pick up a copy the night of the show.
I am so excited - just got tickets to Levon Helm at Massey Hall, Toronto. Can't wait to hear Larry again - I miss him! Without him, Dylan just isn't the same...
I am about 98% sure this is my favorite easy wind ever. The whole band is dead on... especially Pig and Jerry. If anyone knows of a sweeter easy wind let me know...
Thanks again David for all your hard work on putting these shows up for us to enjoy and listen to. It always makes me happy to hear Pig play. Great GD hour here.
