I painted this watercolor for my Uncle Walter, who is a huge fan, growing up all I remember is all of his Grateful Dead stickers, the bears, and his Jerry Garcia doll and just loving everything about them cause I just thought it was so awesome.

I am a 64 year old glass artist who is now executing iconic music art, using had cut mirror to form the image. This piece is a tribute to the many times I sat up close, and could literally reach out , and shake Jerry's hand at the old Keystone Korner. Those were the days indeed. Ok, I lied. I had to submit more art. Was playing with the "Stealie" I did a few days ago and came up with what turned out to be a pretty cool design.

Where the Dead were the Apples, Frank was the Orange. Both made me feel like there really was something out there musically and universally that couldn't really be explained. I was lucky enough to meet the man in a Holiday Inn in Baltimore before his show when I was 16. I was speechless, he was nice. I miss him too.

I did this airbrush drawing in April of 1982, and last night (4/13/07) took a picture of it with my cell phone camera. This was my very first complete airbrush drawing I ever did.

I came up with this design based on the obvious. But figured if I ever was to get a tattoo I'd use this. Still haven't gotten one, probably won't get one......But you can!
